People always said that time goes faster after you have children and while it may seem that way it is only because you measure time in milestones. I was expecting Klayton to start doing something amazing this past week. Since at a month he rolled over and then six weeks he smiled I had anticipated something magnificent at 8 weeks or at least something new. But I guess my over expectation of our son's ability is starting early because even though he continues to be the cute pudgy panda he is he has not done anything extraordinary this week.
Another thing I have learned about being a parent is that you also measure your child’s health by their output. Justin and I have intense conversations about Klayton's ability to soak through his kissaluv/prefold combo and his longies out the back to make a puddle on my and the couch. I sit scratching my head wondering how such a little boy can pee so much, which begs to ask what makes a super soaker? The ladies on my cloth diaper discussion forum talk about how their little ones are super soakers and will out grow the absorbency of their diaper long before the size. *sigh* lucky for us we have one of those little ones. I've also learned that people lied about cloth diapering....I really do enjoy it, in fact it has become a bit of an obsession trying to find the best solution. We have found that we like fitteds and recycled longies best. Oh and since I'm already talking about it; Justin is an awesome daddy and hubby, he is very supportive of cloth and I think takes pride in his knowledge on the subject which I love him for it. It also happens to be Valentine’s day so I made a special longies set….action shots below specially for daddy
I’ve also been working on two quits one is a custom order for a girl in Wisconsin and then the other for my indy mom…which I can not show pictures because she checks here….so maybe I will post them when I’m finished.
Without further ado here are the pics
